The Kids Cricket League Pro14 – U12 is an exceptional platform designed to cultivate the cricketing talent of young players under 12 years of age. This league, organized by Cricket Performance Point, goes beyond the conventional cricket tournament by providing a structured environment that focuses on both competitive play and holistic development. By allowing each team to play 6 matches, the league ensures that every participant gains significant match experience, which is crucial for their growth as future cricketers.
Expanded League Structure:
Bowling Rules: Limiting each bowler to a maximum of 3 overs ensures that multiple players get a chance to contribute with the ball, fostering an environment where all players can showcase their skills.
Teams and Groups:
The league comprises 8 teams, strategically divided into 2 groups (Group A and Group B) with 4 teams in each. This grouping ensures a manageable and competitive environment where young players can thrive.
Group Stage: In the initial phase, each team competes in 3 matches within their group, providing a focused and intense start to the tournament.
Inter-Group Matches: Post the group stage, teams play 3 more matches against teams from the opposite group, making up a total of 6 matches per team. This not only increases the number of competitive opportunities but also exposes the players to a variety of playing styles and strategies.
Match Format:
14 Overs Per Side: The 14-over format is designed to keep matches fast-paced and engaging. This shorter format encourages dynamic play, where quick decision-making and adaptability are key.
